Portland Bill has always been special to me from remembering family trips to the lighthouse to watching the TV series 'The Adventures Of Portland Bill

I have never really had the chance to shoot Astrophotography and when I have there has always been clouds blocking the view. This time conditions were perfect with one of the clearest nights I have seen this year. It was also special due to the beginning of this years Perseid meteor shower.

I saw numerous throughout the night but was only lucky enough to capture this one heading towards the arm of the Milkyway.
